Tehran (IP): Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman called the World Environment Day a reminder of everyone's duty to have a clean earth and a healthy environment.

Iran PressIran News: Saeed Khatibzadeh tweeted on Saturday on the occasion of World Environment Day: "World Environment Day is a reminder of the duty of all of us to have a clean earth and a healthy environment."

He added: "Our damaged environment will be repaired only with careful local plans, global cooperation and adherence to common international obligations."

June 5 of each year is designated by the United Nations as World Environment Day.
