Tehran (IP) - During the presidential debate, one of the candidates said the banks without the supervision of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran (CBI) were creating money, which led to liquidity.

Iran PressIran News: Alireza Zakani criticized also the policy of the Central Bank, saying that banks without the supervision of the CBI were creating money, which led to liquidity.

Mohsen Rezaei said that eight years ago he had warned that if the situation continued like this, the value of money would fall.

Mohsen Mehr-Alizadeh, another presidential candidate, said that statistics showed that 50% of people have been living below the poverty line.

Mehr-Alizadeh highlighted: "I have a developed plan that I worked on for two years ago and we have executive plans in all available fields."

Still another candidate Amir-Hossein Ghazizadeh-Hashemi criticized the CBI's policies saying that instead of keeping the value of the national currency, it protected the value of the foreign currency.

"When it comes to protecting the value of the national currency, there is a debate on the other side of the coin which is inflation,” he said.

Ghazizadeh-Hashemi said economic reforms were needed to get out of the situation.

Finally, Saeed Jalili stated in the debate that another problem with the administration of the country in the past years was that economic views and deprived people were not considered as priorities.

The presidential candidate stressed a plan to eliminate deprivation, supply and preservation of people's interests, especially in the energy area.

Jalili said Imam Khomeini was after eliminating deprivation, for which he had developed several basic plans for it.
