Tehran (IP) - Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei said that the Islamic Republic is more developed than 40 years ago.

Iran PressIran news: The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, on the anniversary of the demise of the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini, in a live speech, said:

The great work of our great Imam was that he created this idea and theory of the Islamic Republic and introduced it into various political theories. There were various Eastern and Western political theories in the field of political issues.

- Then Imam give it objectivity. It was not just to create a theory, and he realized it and created the system of the Islamic Republic.

- Imam was a great man in various ways, including in terms of religious knowledge. The foundation of this theory and the realization of this theory was his deep knowledge of Islam. He knew Islam and knew that Islamic sovereignty was related to the main message of Islam and his deep belief in the people.

- The Imam believed in the people and their abilities and determination. We have memories. In 1962, one day in the lesson, he discussed the current issues and said that this desert of Qom would be filled if we invite the people. No one thought that people could be involved in such a thing.

- Both parts of this theory; he considered both the Islamic part and the part of his republic to be related to Islam. His mastery and comprehensiveness in understanding Islamic issues created this theory in his mind. Of course, there were opponents. Both the issue of the Islamic nature of the government and the popular aspect of the government and democracy of them had stubborn opponents. To this day, some opponents have opinions that I will mention.

- In the case of Islamic rule, the country's system should be governed by Islamic values. In this case, there was stubborn opposition. Of course, they were not the same. It was a group of secular-religious people who said that religion did not have such a right and dignity to take over the social system and management of the country and were saying that religion is for prayer, fasting, and spirituality. Some considered religion to be the opium of society and said that it is useless, but it is also harmful.

- A group of people believed in religion and were defending religion; they said that politics should not contaminate religion, and religion should sit aside and maintain its sanctity and not enter politics. If one judges these correctly, they are religious secularists.

- Opponents of popular sovereignty were also on two fronts. On the one hand, some secular liberals believed in democracy but said that democracy had nothing to do with religion and that technocrats should introduce democracy in republicanism and democracy.

- Some believed in religion but said that the rule of religion has nothing to do with the people. We have seen examples of this second view recently in ISIS.

The Imam, relying on God, with faith in the people and relying on his deep knowledge of religion, stood firm, advanced this theory, and realized this great innovation. This is a wise inference. It is not an emotional thing. It follows from the text of Islam that religion must rule and that all people must be present in this rule. The rule of religion has been clearly stated in the Qur'an.

- The Qur'an says that we sent the prophets so that the people would follow them. In what things? Verses related to jihad, limits, and punishments. Verses related to international agreements. These verses mean government. These verses say that in these cases, the Prophet must be obeyed.

The issue of republic and democracy and the validity of the people's vote; is also important. This must be looked at from two perspectives; One perspective is the doctrinal aspect that is a matter of right and responsibility. Another perspective is the possibility of realizing the rule of religion, which cannot be realized without the people.
