Tehran (IP): Iranian President’s Chief of Staff said that the Vienna talks had progressed very well, and the agreement was close to concluding.

Iran PressIran News: Mahmoud Vaezi on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting on Wednesday in response to Iran Press question regarding the results of the fifth round of Vienna talks said: "A draft was prepared at the end of the fourth round of talks by the Iranian side and in the fifth round, more attention was paid to it."

The official stated that many points of disagreement had been resolved and there were still points of disagreement that the two sides disagree on.

Vaezi stressed that the Vienna talks had progressed very well in the economic field and agreements on nuclear issues had also been relatively good.

"We have also made suggestions about verification, but this section has not reached the desired point as we expected, which is natural to take time," Vaezi added.

He noted: "We try hard to hand over this government to the next government without any problems."

The Vienna talks that started in early April between Tehran and the remaining parties have been focused on getting the US to lift the sanctions so that Iran would reverse the retaliatory steps it has taken away from the agreement in harmony with Article 26 of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).
