Tehran(IP) - Saeed Jalili, a candidate for the 13th round of Iran's presidential election, has said that a long-term strategy is needed to solve the country's problems.

Iran PressIran news: Saeed Jalili in a televised speech in the framework of his election campaigns on Monday evening said that there are various economic issues an outstanding surge is needed to solve these problems.

The candidate for the presidential election said Iran has good capacities and capabilities; to succeed, one must plan to utilize the potentials.

Stating the country should not wait for foreigners and enemies, the candidate added current policy had not been successful and poor performance will not push the country forward.

Jalili said that the wrong approach would prevent the country to reach its lofty goals, a progressive approach is needed to solve the problems and a long-term view is necessary in this regard. 

Expressing that his future government is never against negotiations and that all the country's capabilities should be utilized simultaneously, he added today the sanctions have doubled, and the currency rate has increased 7 times.

Next government should activate all the potentials; the realization of this critical issue requires three principles of "belief," "will," and "plan."
