Araghchi leaves Tehran for Vienna

Tehran (IP) - Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister left for Austria on Tuesday morning to take part in the fifth round of Vienna talks.

Iran PressIran news: The new round of the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will resume today (Tuesday) with the presence of the delegations of Iran and the P4+1 (Germany, France, Russia, China, and Britain) and the representative of the European Union in Vienna, the capital of Austria.

The meeting will be held at the level of deputies and political directors of the Iranian Ministries of Foreign Affairs and the P4+1 group.

The meeting will be chaired by Enrique Mora, the Deputy Secretary-General/Political Director of the European External Action Service, and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi will head the Iranian delegation.

Today's meeting is being held while Kazem Gharibabadi, the Iranian Ambassador to International Organisations in Vienna, says yesterday that Tehran has informed the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) of its decision to extend an earlier deal with the UN’s nuclear watchdog for one more month at most.
