Iran Press/Middle East: During the telephone conversation with Major-General Hossein Salami, Ziad al-Nakhaleh referred to the 12-day war of the Zionist regime against the Gaza Strip and stated that it was a pivotal battle in the history of the conflict with the Zionist enemy that had led to an unprecedented alliance of Palestinian groups.
He especially thanked the former martyred Commander of IRGC's Quds Force, Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, for his efforts to achieve such victories against the Zionist occupiers, noting: "You (Iran) have been with us in all fields and are our partner in achieving victory, and [in the future] you will be with us for the liberation of Al-Quds."
Major-General Salami also stressed the commitment of the Islamic Republic of Iran to support Palestine.
On Monday, May 10, the Zionist regime launched a new offensive on the Gaza Strip from the air, land, and sea but did not expect to face a forceful rocket response from the Palestinian resistance.
During the 12-day war, the Palestinian resistance in the Gaza Strip responded to Zionist attacks with thousands of advanced missiles and rockets.
The move prompted the Israeli cabinet to agree to a ceasefire on Thursday night after failing to stop the rocket attacks by the resistance groups in Gaza.
The ceasefire was established between the Zionist regime and Palestinian groups at 2 am on Friday.
In separate statements, Palestinian resistance groups have announced that they will abide by the ceasefire as long as the Zionist regime adheres to it.
