Tehran (IP) - The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said that in the framework of humanitarian goals and considering the call of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, aid had been prepared to be sent to the Gaza Strip.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press on Tuesday, Karim Hemmati stated that the Iranian Red Crescent Society (IRCS), despite sanctions and pressure from the COVID-19, has allocated $100,000 in the first phase of humanitarian aid to Palestine.

Hemmati said that the IRCS has answered the call of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society for supplying medicine and medical equipment, and the first shipment of non-cash aid of the Iranian Red Crescent Society to Palestine includes 50 tons of various medicines and medical items.

The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said that the first shipment of aid from the IRCS would be sent as soon as the access route is announced.

According to medical sources, 212 Palestinians, including 61 children and 36 women, have been martyred since May 10 in the Israeli onslaught on Gaza, and 1400 others have been wounded.
