Iran's FM Zarif meets his Italian counterpart

Rome (IP) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran during his trip and consulting on expanding cooperation in bilateral relations, discussed cooperation on issues of mutual interest at the international level.

Iran Press/Europe: Mohammad-Javad Zarif, who is in Rome for his second trip in Europe to meet Vatican and Italian officials, met Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio on Monday.

He has previously traveled to Spain and met the country's foreign and industry ministers.

Zarif was also scheduled to pay a visit to Vienna, which he canceled in protest of the Austrian government's move to hoist the Israeli flag over the Austrian Chancellery and Foreign Ministry.
