Italy (IP): The Secretary-General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a message on the occasion of the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, emphasizing the need for a quick resumption of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) talks.

Iran PressEurope: "Italy is looking forward to the resumption of talks on the nuclear deal, which is an essential tool for security and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons in the region, "Elisabetta Belloni said in a video message, a copy of which was posted on the official Twitter account of the Iranian embassy in Rome."

"The opportunity for constructive and positive interaction to resolve Iran's nuclear deal should not be wasted," she added.

Referring to the historical and long-standing relations between Rome and Tehran, the Secretary-General of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the friendship between the two countries has become more visible and deeper over time. 

Referring to 106 years of diplomatic relations, the Italian diplomat stated that this relationship is based on mutual respect and a common will for dialogue as well as the development of innovative and fruitful cooperation for the people of the two countries.

"Despite the complexities of political developments, the Iran-Italy dialogue has always been ongoing at the governmental and parliamentary levels, and the continuation of cultural, economic, and academic cooperation is the best evidence of the continuation of this path," Belloni said.

In another part of her remarks, she addressed the problem of the corona pandemic and the efforts of the two countries to counter it, expressing hope that the virus would be eradicated thanks to joint international efforts.
