Iran, Iraq to cement ties in agriculture

Baghdad (IP): Iran’s ambassador to Iraq held a meeting with the Iraqi Minister of Agriculture, stressing the expansion of ties, especially in the agricultural field.

Iran Press/Middle East: During the meeting, the solutions to develop agricultural relations between the two sides were also discussed.

The future visit of the Iraqi Minister of Agriculture to Iran together with the contribution of the Iraqi economic delegation in Isfahan's International fair on livestock and poultry were also among other topics discussed in the meeting.

Iraj Masjedi and Karim al-Khafaji also discussed the issue of "lifting the ban on apple exports" from Iran to Iraq, and finally agreed to take appropriate measures and co-operate with the Iraqi side to lift the ban.
