Iran Press/ Iran news: The British Foreign Secretary claimed that Iran's treatment of Nazanin Zaghari was an example of torture.
In a Tuesday news conference in response to Iran Press to the British Foreign Secretary’s claim, Gholam Hossein Esmaili said when Zaghari as a security convict was being held outside prison, in her home under electronic surveillance, such false claims were of no legal position.
He added that Zaghari was now free on bail.
Esmaili said that it was shocking that Zaghari was said to be in a state of torture now and that those who spoke out were the ones who commit the most tortures in the world.
He noted human rights advocates were committing the most ill-treatment and human rights abuses and that their trained terrorists had recently killed more than 50 schoolgirls in Afghanistan.
Still, he added that the terrorist act in Kabul was a crime against humanity, a crime against children, and it was interesting that the Western countries did not show any reaction or sympathy.
"Yet, the Western human rights advocates were shouting for human rights abuses against someone accused of security crimes and was now free on bail," the spokesman for Iran's Judiciary said, adding that the West's stance was a sign of its double standards over human rights.
He expressed his condolences to the survivors of the terrorist attack on a girls' school in Kabul. He called on the international human rights community to prosecute the perpetrators of the terrorist attack.
