Middle East (IP): The Iraqi Shia cleric and leader of the National Wisdom Movement, while condemning the attack on Iran's Consulate General in Karbala, stressed that the Iraqi government should provide security for the diplomatic centers and missions.

Iran PressMiddle East: Reacting to the intention of some people to attack the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karbala, the leader of the Iraqi National Wisdom Movement, Ammar Hakim, said in a message: "Attacking foreign diplomatic missions endangers the government's authority and efforts to establish balanced and stable foreign relations with all countries of the world."

In his message, Hakim described the move as the result of some personal behavior, saying: "Attack on the diplomatic missions that are guests of Iraq, and in the latest case, the attack on the Iranian consulate in Karbala, is condemned."

The Iraqi National Wisdom Movement leader called on his government and security services to provide the necessary security for all diplomatic missions and embassies and missions in all provinces of the country.

On Sunday night, some rioters attacked the consulate general of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Iraqi city of Karbala.
