Palestine (IP) - The Gaza Strip’s Ministry of Health announced that nine people, including three children, were killed in an Israeli attack on the strip.

Iran PressMiddle East: Nine Palestinians martyred, including three children, and a number of injured were taken to Beit Hanoun Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday evening, according to a statement from the Gaza Strip’s Ministry of Health.

Earlier, Palestinian resistance groups fired rockets at the Israeli regime’s army positions in the occupied Al-Quds and Zionist settlements around Gaza.

Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and Islamic Jihad group claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks. Israeli media reports said more than 30 rockets were fired.

“This is a message the enemy should understand well,” said Abu Ubaida, a spokesman for Hamas’s armed wing.

As the Israeli regime celebrated its capture of eastern sections of the holy city in the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, violence erupted at the al Aqsa mosque.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said more than 300 Palestinians were injured in clashes with the Israeli security forces who relentlessly fired rubber bullets, stun grenades and tear gas in the compound.

The Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in eastern Jerusalem al Quds has also been a focal point of Palestinian protests during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan. Several Palestinian families face eviction, under Israeli court order, from homes claimed by settlers in a long-running legal case.
