Tehran (IP): The Iranian Minister of Health said that the fourth wave of coronavirus had been stopped in some provinces with the efforts of health defenders, people, and relevant agencies.

Iran Press/Iran News: "The fourth wave of coronavirus in Iran is slowing down in most provinces," Saeed Namaki told in a press conference on Wednesday. Namaki stated that in the fourth wave of coronavirus, the number of patients increased 2.5 times compared to previous periods and even increased to 10 times in some provinces.

Regarding the diagnosis of new COVID-19 variants in Iran, Namaki added that in some provinces and the UK variant, 5 definite cases of the South African variant had been identified in Hormozgan province and about 30 suspected cases of the virus had also been identified.

The Minister of Health stated that 13 patients with Indian coronavirus variant were also identified in Iran. 

In a complex run by Indian workers in West Azerbaijan province, at least 10 new cases of the virus were identified, which is a type of Indian-Californian hybrid virus.
