Tehran (IP) – The training camp of the Iranian national tennis team to participate in Group 4 of the Davis Cup in the Asia-Pacific region has been set up at Iran's National Olympic Academy.

Iran Press/Iran News: In an interview with Iran Press, the President of Iran's Tennis Federation, Davoud Azizi, stated that the national tennis team had been motivated to attend the camp and would all try to advance from Group 4 of the Davis Cup Asia-Oceania to Group 3.

He noted that all available facilities would be provided to the technical staff of the national tennis team for the success of the Iranian team.

Also, the Head Coach of the Iranian National Tennis Team, Akbar Taheri, said that the national team would play well in the Davis Cup.

The Davis Cup Asia-Oceania tennis tournament will be held in Turkmenistan from September 28 to August 6.

Iran, Cambodia, Guam, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Myanmar, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Tajikistan, Yemen, and the UAE are in Group Four of the Asia-Oceania Davis Cup.

The top 2 teams will qualify for Group 3 of the competitions.
