Iranian border guard killed in clashes with armed outlaws

Marivan (IP) - The Iranian border guard was martyred in clashes with armed outlaws in western Iran.

Iran PressIran news: Brigadier General Alireza Marzbani, the commander of the Border Guard Command in the Western province of Kurdestan, said on Tuesday that the border guards of Mariwan Border Regiment while monitoring and guarding the borderline, clashed with armed miscreants in the border area of 'Dara Nakhi' of this city.  

Marzbani added: "During this conflict, the third lieutenant, Hossein Namvar, a border guard of the Marivan Border Regiment, was martyred."

Marivan border city is located 128 km from Sanandaj, the capital of Kurdistan province in western Iran.
