Meymand (IP) – Meymand City is one of Damask Rose flower production centers in Fars Province, southern Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Annually, more than 25 million liters of Damask Rose water extract are produced in traditional and industrial workshops in Meymand.

The city plays an important role in producing Damask Rose water extract and essential oil in Iran.

There are 1,800 hectares of Damask Rose gardens in Meymand, and an average of 6 tons of the flower are harvested per hectare.

In addition to supplying the domestic market, Damask Rose water extract and essential oil produced in Fars Province are also exported to the countries on the southern shores of the Persian Gulf, Central Asia, and Europe.

Meymand City is located 100 km south of Shiraz, the capital of Fars Province.
