Zarif stresses implementation of Iran-Oman agreements

Oman (IP) - Iran’s Foreign Minister stressed the need to follow up and implement the adoptions of the Tehran-Muscat Joint Economic Cooperation Commission.

Iran Press/Middle East: Meeting with the Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi in Muscat, Mohammad Javad Zarif expressed his satisfaction over the positive trend in the economic cooperation between the two countries and stressed the implementation of the adoptions of the Tehran-Muscat Joint Economic Cooperation Commission.

Zarif expressed hope that the cooperation between the two countries in the economic field with the agreed mechanisms to achieve a more desirable economic and trade cooperation would become more dynamic.

The Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Al Busaidi for his part, expressed satisfaction over the two countries' cooperation in different areas and called for the expansion cooperation. 

Cooperation in the fields of transportation and transit, at bilateral and multilateral levels, judicial cooperation, extradition of criminals, and the exchange of prisoners were among the other topics discussed by the two foreign ministers during the meeting.

The 19th round of the Tehran-Muscat Joint Economic Cooperation Commission will be held shortly.
