'Bustan and Golestan Reading' held in Lahore, honoring Saadi Day

Lahore (IP) - On the occasion of Saadi Day, a virtual gathering entitled "Reading the Bustan and Golestan" was held at the initiative of the House of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lahore, the capital of Punjab, Pakistan.

Iran PressAsia: The virtual knowledge-raising workshop was held by the House of Iranian Culture in Lahore, Pakistan, with the participation of students and teachers of Persian language and literature.

The virtual gathering was attended by Jafar Ronas, the head of the Iranian House of Culture, Azam Zarrineh, a poet and professor of Persian language and literature at Punjab University, Mohaghegh, a Persian language teacher, and high school and elementary Persian language students.

The head of the House of Iranian Culture in Lahore, referring to the literary richness of Saadi's works, said: "One of the characteristics of Saadi's works is that he expresses deep and instructive moral, mystical and romantic meanings in simple terms."

Jafar Ronas added: "The House of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lahore, due to its duty to spread Persian language and literature and make the new generation more familiar with it, has held this virtual gathering."

Azami Zarrineh, a poet and professor of Persian language and literature at Punjab University, also expressed the position of Saadi Shirazi's valuable works among world-famous poets: Saadi Shirazi was not only a poet and writer, but also a psychologist, sociologist, and moral teacher.

In the continuation of this workshop, Persian students recited poems by Saadi.
