Baghdad (IP) - The Iranian ambassador in Baghdad described Foreign Minister's visit to Iraq as another opportunity to strengthen relations between the two nations and the two governments of Iraq and Iran.

Iran PressMiddle East: Iraj Masjedi in Baghdad on Saturday evening in a Twitter message described the visit of the Iranian Foreign Minister to Baghdad as another opportunity to strengthen relations between the two nations and the two governments of Iran and Iraq.

The message reads: "Expanding and deepening relations with neighboring countries, including the Republic of Iraq, has always been among the priorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh announced on Saturday the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Javad Zarif heading a delegation, to Qatar and Iraq on Sunday.

He added: "The trip to Qatar and Iraq will take place within the framework of the development of relations between the two countries, regional and trans-regional talks, and Zarif will meet and exchange views with high-ranking officials in both countries."
