Tehran (IP) - The amount of electricity generation in Iran's combined cycle power plants increased by 20% compared to the previous year and reached about 158 ​​million MWh.

Iran PressIran News: Last year, 343 million megawatt hours of energy were produced in all power plants in Iran (thermal, hydropower, nuclear and renewable), of which the share of thermal power plants (heating, gas, combined cycle) was more than 314 million megawatt hours.

Last year, about 92% of the country's electricity needs were supplied by thermal power plants; the production of these units increased by more than 9% compared to last year.

On April 20, the CEO of Iran Thermal Power Generation Company said: "69,000 megawatts of the capacity of thermal power plants will enter the circuit in two months after the end of repairs."
