Moscow (IP) – Iran's ambassador to Russia announced that the sixth consignment of the Russian 'Sputnik V' vaccine consisting of 100,000 doses was sent to Iran on Thursday.

Iran PressIran News: Kazem Jalali stated that the shipment, which was delivered to the Iranian embassy in Moscow by the Russian Direct Investment Fund, was left for Tehran via Mahan Airlines.

So far, 620,000 doses of the 'Sputnik V' vaccine have been delivered to Iran.

He explained that Russia had many commitments to supplying about 1.4 billion doses of vaccine to various countries, and due to the production capacity limitations, it hopes to be able to meet its obligations through joint production.

He noted that 60 million doses of vaccine, the contract of which has been signed and finalized with Russia, would be delivered to Iran from June to December.
