Referring to his meeting with his Pakistani counterpart in Tehran, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a tweet stated that during the meeting, they both agreed to expand bilateral cooperation and regional coordination on Afghanistan, Palestine and multilateralism.

Iran Press/Iran news: Iranian Foreign Minister IMohammad Javad Zarif, who hosted Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Tehran today (Wednesday), in his tweet said: "A new border has been opened between the two countries and a memorandum of understanding has been signed to establish border markets."

Zarif wrote in the tweet: "It was agreed to expand bilateral cooperation and regional coordination on Afghanistan, Palestine, multilateralism and the fight against prejudice against Muslims."

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who arrived in Tehran yesterday evening for a three-day visit, met with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani today.

This evening, while meeting and consulting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, the Pakistani Foreign Minister signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Iran and Pakistan to establish border markets.

It is worth mentioning that by signing this memorandum of understanding and with the aim of promoting economic relations between the two countries and the welfare of border residents, the two sides agreed to establish joint border markets along between the two countries. 219
