Tehran (IP) - During the meeting between the Slovak Ambassador and the first deputy speaker of the Iranian Parliament, emphasis was placed on improving the cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fight against the Corona epidemic.

Iran Press/Iran News: Amir Hossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, The first deputy speaker of the Iranian Parliament, spoke yesterday evening with Ladislav Ballek, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Tehran.

"Deepening and strengthening friendly relations between the two countries has an effective role in increasing the level of interaction and removing obstacles to the development of cooperation," he highlighted.

"The interactions between the two countries in economy, trade and financial exchanges are of great importance," Ghazizadeh noted.

He added: "Cooperation between the health and medical sectors of the two countries in the joint fight against the corona epidemic, including the provision of vaccines and the exchange of necessary experiences in this regard, has an important role in developing cooperation between the two countries."

The Slovak Ambassador to Tehran, Ladislav Ballek, also stressed the need to increase communication between the two countries' parliaments, adding that parliamentary interactions and communication between the two countries' parliamentarians play an important role in developing relations and promoting regional and international cooperation.

He added: "Iran has a rich cultural and civilizational background, and increasing interaction with, in various sectors, is important for his country."

In the end, the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic stressed his country's readiness to expand political and parliamentary relations with Iran.
