Nuclear talks delegations return to their capitals

After their second week in Vienna, delegations, and negotiators in Iran's nuclear talks and JCPOA return to their capitals for more consultations.

Iran PressEurope: The meeting of the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which started this evening to review the results of the talks and consultations of the working groups in the two areas of lifting sanctions and the nuclear issue at Grand Hotel, ended a few minutes ago.

At the meeting, the head of the JCPOA member countries negotiating delegations discussed the technical talks and the initial drafts of the texts, and how the talks will continue.

The head of the Iranian delegation, Abbas Araghchi, assessed the current process of the talks as moving forward, despite the existing difficulties and challenges.

At the same time, he stressed that the Iranian delegation would stop the talks whenever the negotiation process turns to extravagance, time-consuming and irrational bargaining.

The diplomats have also agreed that in addition to the two existing expert groups (in the field of lifting sanctions and nuclear), next week, the third group of experts will discuss the practical arrangements needed to implement the lifting of sanctions and returning of the US to the JCPOA.

After consultations in their capitals, the delegations will resume technical and expert talks next week.
