Tehran (IP) - The president of the Iranian Boxing Federation said that Iranian boxing had made history by participating the Iranian boxers among the top 8 boxers in world championships.

Iran PressIran news: According to Iran Press News Agency, Hossein Souri about the performance of the Iranian national youth boxing team in the World Championships in Poland added that in the Polish competitions, the top boxers from 56 countries participated and for the first time in the history of martial arts in Iran, 2 Iranian boxers were among top 8 boxers of the world in their weights.

The president of the Iranian Boxing Federation said that there was no record of Iranian national boxers reaching the quarter-finals of the World Championships.

Souri added: "Of course, the Iranian boxers got good results and did not lose to their rivals in advance, and they fought hard."

The president of the Iranian Boxing Federation said that Farhad Moradi, the representative of the 69 kg weight of the Iranian youth team, despite the superiority over the opponent, lost the contest.

Souri added that the composition of the Iranian national youth boxing team and its technical staff would be maintained and it would be a suitable support for the national adult boxing team.
