Tehran (IP) – Iranian and Afghan foreign ministers held a phone talk and discussed bilateral relations and developments related to the peace process in Afghanistan last night.

Iran Press/Iran News: Mohammad-Javad Zarif reiterated the Islamic Republic of Iran's full support for the Afghan peace process, stressing the preservation of Afghanistan's democratic achievements over the past two decades and its connection to lasting peace.

Mohammad Hanif Atmar also expressed satisfaction with the expanding relations between the two countries and praised Iran's effective role in the Afghan peace process.

The two sides also stressed the need to accelerate the finalization and signing of a comprehensive document on strategic cooperation between the two countries.
