Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg

Vienna (IP) - "I have the understanding that the commitment is there from both sides in JCPOA joint Commission to make progress," Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg said.

Iran PressEurope: In an interview with OE1 radio, Alexander Schallenberg said, " the pressure on both sides is enormous.”

“They know that they are walking on thin ice and that the clock is ticking loudly,” he said.

“They are very aware of their responsibility, and it is clear that there are forces on all sides who have an interest in seeing these negotiations fail," the Austrian Foreign Minister said.

“But I have the understanding that the commitment is there from both sides to make progress. It is perhaps the last diplomatic rescue effort,” he added.

Mr. Schallenberg said that diplomats “really need to find a deal by May,” ahead of Iranian elections in June.
