Tehran (IP) – Iran could enrich uranium to 60% before and the European and US concerns were not right, Iran's President said.

Iran PressIran News:  Speaking at the inauguration of petrochemical projects with an investment value of 1,023 million dollars, Hassan Rouhani stated that containing COVID spread and the removal of the sanctions as two important tasks of the government in the last 100 days.

"Our diplomats are negotiating in Vienna right now and we do not care when the enemy comes to his senses and respect the law, but we are sure that for the United States and the other countries in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), there is no other way but to fully comply with the UN Resolution 2231 and the JCPOA, if they do so, we will immediately return to all of our obligations after the verification," he noted.

"Today, regarding the concerns of the United States and Europe over Iran's 60 percent enrichment, some say that Iran wants to reach 90 percent, is not true; You think that we are paving the way for the production of a nuclear bomb, but it is wrong," Rouhani concluded.

Some petrochemical projects were inaugurated in the presence of President Hassan Rouhani. Four projects including Parsian Sepehr refinery's ethane extraction in Mohr city and separation of ethane in Asaluyeh, the first polypropylene catalyst production unit, and the first heavy polyethylene production unit in Shazand were put into operation.

The opening of these projects will create jobs for 850 people.
