Iran Press/ Iran News: After sighting the crescent moon, the office of Iran's Leader Ayatollah Khamenei announced Wednesday, April 14, as the start of Muslims' the holy month of Ramadan.
The advent of Ramadan may vary from country to country depending on the situation of the moon.
Since the new moon is not in the same state at the same time globally, the beginning and ending dates of Ramadan depend on what lunar sightings are received in each location.
As a result, Ramadan dates vary in different countries, but usually only by a day.
This is due to the cycle of the moon.
Saudi Arabia and Syria announced Tuesday, April 13, 2021, as the first day of the holy month of Ramadan in the countries.
With Ramadan just around the corner, some 1.8 billion Muslims across the globe are being prepared to celebrate the fasting holy month. The ninth month on the Islamic calendar, the fasting month of Ramadan is celebrated across the Muslim world as the month in which the Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
