The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran stressed on Friday night that Iran wants a precise return to the JCPOA, stating that Iran has a logical and reasoned stance on the issue of lifting sanctions.

Iran Press/Iran news: "The result we have reached so far is that we are on the right track," Seyed Abbas Araghchi told Press TV about the outcome of the Vienna talks.

"The efforts of both the Sanctions and Iran Actions working groups were good," he said, adding that discussions continued, especially on the issue of lifting sanctions, which is a complex issue.

The Deputy Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran pointed to Iran's rational request for the lifting of all sanctions and stated that Iran's stance is that all sanctions, whether those imposed during the Trump era or the sanctions mentioned in the JCPOA, should be lifted, and Americans themselves know better what to do in this regard.

The second meeting of the 18th session of the JCPOA Joint Commission, which resumed in Vienna on Tuesday 6 April, was held on Friday 9 April.

The most important agenda of the meeting was to present the report of the technical consultations held in the meetings of the "lifting of sanctions" and "nuclear" expert groups.

The representatives of the European Union, as the coordinators of the expert meetings, reported the results of the consultations of the experts of Iran and the P5 + 1 countries to the Joint Commission.

Abbas Araghchi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister and the head of the Iranian delegation, at the meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission, while emphasizing the will of the Islamic Republic of Iran to continue serious interactions, said: This depends on the political will and seriousness of the other parties, otherwise there will be no reason to continue negotiations."

"The lifting of all US sanctions imposed during the presidency of the former president is a necessary step to revive the UN Security Council, and only after the verification of the lifting of these sanctions, Iran is ready to stop its retaliatory measures and Return to the full implementation of JCPOA.

Under Trump's administration, the US government unilaterally withdrew from the JCPOA in defiance of international resolutions and imposed maximum pressure on Iran by imposing unprecedented sanctions, and even during the outbreak of the coronavirus, it prevented Iran from gaining access to its resources in other countries for the import of medicine and food.

Two years after the US withdrew from the JCPOA and the European parties delayed in fulfilling their obligations under the agreement, Iran began to take steps to reduce its obligations and announced that if all sanctions are lifted and the other parties fulfill their obligations, it reverses the compensatory measures.
