An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale hit Kagoshima province in southwestern Japan on Saturday morning.

Iran Press/Asia: The epicenter was reported at a depth of 20 kilometers, according to the Japan Seismological Center.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or severe damage.
