Tehran (IP) – Iranian deputy foreign minister stressed that Iran had no direct or indirect negotiations with the United States, saying talks with the P4+1 had been quite technical.

Iran PressIran News: Abbas Araghchi stated on Sunday that what Iran had been pursuing in Vienna in the Joint Commission of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was based on the exact positions of the Islamic Republic, which had been repeatedly reiterated by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei and the country's officials.

"We will not have any direct or indirect talks with the Americans in Vienna. We will negotiate with the Joint Commission and the P4+1 and will announce our condition for returning to compliance with the JCPOA. We demand that the United States first fulfills all its obligations and lifts all the sanctions it has imposed, and then we will verify," he said.

He pointed out that Iran had not had and would not accept any step-for-step plan or proposal; There is only one step, and that is that all sanctions that were re-imposed, imposed, or label-changed after Trump's withdrawal should be lifted, and then Iran would verify and return to its commitments.

The 18th meeting of the Joint Commission of the JCPOA was held online on Friday with the representatives of Iran and the P4+1 in attendance, and these talks are scheduled to be held in person in Vienna on Tuesday this week.
