Tehran (IP) - The foreign ministers of Iran and France in a telephone conversation on Saturday talked about the continuation of the meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission, which is scheduled to be held in Vienna on Tuesday.

Iran PressIran News: French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Saturday, in a telephone call with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif, stressed the resumption of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) talks and the role of the European Troika in maintaining it.

Without mentioning US non-constructive actions and the European troika’s infidelity to JCPOA, Jean-Yves Le Drian urged Tehran to take constructive steps to implement JCPOA commitments and added that negotiations should proceed in a way that would allow a full return to the nuclear deal commitments.

Le Drian said that this was the goal of all member states of JCPOA, including the United States, claiming that France would be pragmatic and demander in the negotiation process.

Stating that all member states want the talks to lead to an agreement, without mentioning the Europeans' non-fulfillment of their commitments, he claimed: "I asked Iran to refrain from further violations of current nuclear commitments to aid discussions.”

Yesterday (Friday) the 18th meeting of the JCPOA Joint Commission was held virtually. In this meeting, the members emphasized not wasting time at this point.
