Riyadh (IP) - The Saudi foreign minister claimed that the normalization of relations with the Israeli regime has many economic, social, and security benefits for the region.

Iran Press/Middle East: The Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, in an interview with CNN broadcaster Becky Anderson on Friday, said that normalization of Riyadh's ties with the Zionist  Regime “depends to a large extent on the progress of the peace process between Tel Aviv and Palestine."

Regarding Saudi Arabia's agreement to direct Hajj flights from Tel Aviv to Mecca, Farhan said that in case of progress made on the issue of Palestine and Tel Aviv, then Israeli citizens of any religion would be welcomed in Saudi Arabia.

Avoiding answers to a question about the punishment of the Saudi Crown Prince in the case of Jamal Khashoggi's assassination, the Saudi foreign minister also said that Riyadh has strong ties with the US government and that the Saudi regime is the key to US interests and priorities in the region and beyond.
