Iran PressIran News: The statement issued by Guardian Council stated that the Muslim people of Iran, through conscious committed participation in the very first free elections in their history, chose the holy system of the Islamic Republic to govern the country, and this is unparalleled in the contemporary world.

The 12th of Farvardin (April 1, 1979), the Iranian Islamic Republic Day, is undoubtedly one of the most important and crucial days in the history of Islam and Iran, the statement reads.

The system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is the result of the efforts of Imam Khomeini, the efforts of the people, and the fruit of the precious blood of the martyrs and the guidance of the great prophets and imams, has become the manifestation of religious democracy in the contemporary world to show that Islam is the most perfect religion that can guarantee the happiness of today's bewildering humanity in the world and the hereafter.

Referring to the auspice of Late Imam Khomeini and the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the statement stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran would pass safely through the storms orchestrated by the Global Arrogance and its henchmen who spent their lives confronting the dignity of this holy system.
