Tehran (IP) - Iranian President said that the continuation of sanctions against the Iranian nation was an inhumane act.

Iran Press/Iran News: Referring to the sanctions and economic war against the Iranian nation that started by the previous US administration which has continued in the new administration, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani on Wednesday at the meeting of the National Taskforce for Fighting Coronavirus said: "Despite claims that the drugs and vaccines will not be blocked to Iran, according to the information received, there are very serious problems in the preparation and supply of foreign vaccines.”

Today this inhumane act has targeted the lives and health of the people, President Rouhani added.

The President called the continuation of sanctions against the Iranian nation an inhumane act, noting: "Access to medicine and vaccines is one of the most obvious rights that all countries have, but the Iranian nation is deprived of this natural right. Deprivation of this right is a great injustice and an inhuman act."

Rouhani also recalled the efforts and successes made to produce the coronavirus vaccine in the country, expressing hope that in the year 1400 (this year in the Iranian calendar starting from March 21, 2021), with the completion of the vaccination process, the virus will be completely controlled in the country.
