Beijing (IP)- China will make efforts to safeguard its Iran oil deal and defend legitimate interests of Sino-Iran relations, the commerce ministry said on Thursday.

Iran Press/Asia: Chinese Ministery of Commerce Spokesman, Gao Feng announced on Thursday that China will make efforts to safeguard its oil deal with the Islamic Republic of Iran and defend the legitimate interests of Sino-Iran relations.

Feng defended Beijing-Tehran relations in a news briefing, stating that the Chinese Ministery of Commerce has not received notices of sanctions on Iranian oil from the Biden administration.

In 2019, a Chinese state-owned company and several Chinese oil tankers were sanctioned by Trump administration to prevent oil exchanges with Iran and not to violate US sanctions.
