Tehran (IP) - The Iranian ambassador to Bolivia and the speaker of the House of Representatives of Bolivia stressed the expansion of parliamentary cooperation between Tehran and La Paz and the formation of parliamentary friendship groups.

Iran Press/America: Morteza Tafreshi, Iranian ambassador in Bolivia, met with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Bolivia Freddy Mamani on Friday.

During the meeting, the two sides stressed the need to expand bilateral cooperation in areas of common interest and agreed to establish parliamentary friendship groups in the Iranian and Bolivian parliaments.

They also emphasized strengthening parliamentary cooperation at the bilateral and international levels, including in the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

The Speaker of the Bolivian House of Representatives praised the solidarity and assistance of the Iranian government and people to that country, especially in the scientific and industrial fields.
