The confetti's ingredients; Almonds, vanilla, sugar, and egg whites are high in iron and calories due to the almond. To make Qurabiya pastry, almonds are first ground into a powder and ground with sugar and egg whites, and baked in the oven.
Nowruz travelers and tourists take Qurabiya sweets as a souvenir as one of the most popular ones when traveling to the historical city of Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan province.
