The US House of Representatives canceled its session on Thursday following warnings from the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI.

Iran Press/America: Congressional police warned Wednesday morning that they had information indicating that some extremists intended to attack members of Congress or its building.

According to US media, the US House of Representatives canceled its planned Thursday session, after the Capitol Police warned on Wednesday that a militia group could be plotting to breach the building that was subjected to a deadly attack on Jan. 6.

The House had been scheduled to debate and vote on a police reform bill, but a Democratic aide said plans changed due in part to the police warning, based on intelligence that “an identified militia group” could present a security threat.

The Senate will convene as planned to begin debating President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion COVID-19-relief bill on Thursday.

The 6 of January attack followed when Trump called for his supporters to rally in front of the US Congress.

Five people were killed and nine Washington DC police officers were injured in an attack on US Congress.

Despite the unrest in the United States, Congress finally confirmed Joe Biden's victory in the 2020 US presidential election.

Trump, however, still insists that he won the 2020 US  presidential election and the Democrats committed widespread fraud. 219
