Tehran (IP) - Chief of Presidential Staff called the issuance of an anti-Iranian resolution in the Board of Governors nonconstructive, saying that issuance of this resolution had a negative effect on Iran's cooperation with the IAEA in the negotiations about the JCPOA.

Iran Press/Iran News: In response to Iran Press News Agency question on the submission of an anti-Iranian resolution to the IAEA Board of Governors on the sidelines of the cabinet meeting on Wednesday, Mahmoud Vaezi said: "It is a non-constructive position and has a negative effect on the negotiations in the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and on Iran's view and cooperation with the Internationa Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)."

Chief of Presidential Staff added: "This is not a friendly method, and it should be corrected before it is too late."

Regarding President Hassan Rouhani's conversation with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, Vaezi stated: "This conversation lasted about an hour and a half and various issues were raised."

He added: "The French president expressed interest in maintaining the JCPOA in this conversation, and Iran's stance is clear in this regard; that is to say the sanctions should be lifted and European countries and the United States should take a clear and practical measure, and Iran will take its steps reciprocally after verification."
