Sanaa (IP) - Media sources reported the advance of Yemeni army forces and popular committees on the Marib front and the death of many senior commanders of forces affiliated with the Saudi regime in the region.

Iran PressMiddle East: Yemeni media reported on Thursday that Sanaa forces had taken control of two areas in Wadi Zana, southeast of Sarwah, west of the city of Marib.

Yemeni army forces and popular committees are advancing on the eastern crossing that connects Marib province to the eastern Yemeni province of Hadramaut, and the Al-Wadiyah crossing with Saudi Arabia.

At the same time, following the imminent fall of Marib, Yemeni sources reported that leaders of Mansour Hadi's Al-Islah party, including Mohammed al-Hazmi, had fled to Turkey.

Yemeni sources also reported the death of two Saudi mercenary commanders in the battle of Mount Al-Mashjah and stated that while Ansarullah forces were advancing towards the Marib Dam to complete the siege, the Saudi coalition forces on the northern front near the city of Marib in the "Al-Aqsha" hill had suffered heavy casualties.

Meanwhile, Yemeni military and strategic affairs expert Abdullah Hassan al-Jaafari stressed that the entire province of Marib is under the control of the army and popular committees and that there is nothing left until the city of Marib is liberated.

The clashes in Marib began a few days ago, at the same time the Yemeni army and Ansarullah popular committees took control of the Kufl military base of the Saudi coalition in the Sarwah area in ​​Marib.
