Registered COVID patients surpass 1.6 million in Iran

Tehran (IP) – Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman announced on Thursday that 1,607,081 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and 1,372,409 recovered.

Iran Press/Iran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to February 25, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 8,206 cases out of whom 687 patients were hospitalized, Sima Sadat Lari stated.

She noted that in the past 24 hours, 94 COVID-19 patients had lost their lives, bringing the total death toll to 59,830.

3,712 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 10,674,944 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed.

According to the latest analysis, 11 cities are in red, 31 in orange, 252 are in yellow, and 154 are in the blue zones.

Ahvaz, Karun, Abadan, Khorramshahr, Dezful, Shooshtar, Shadegan, Ramhormoz, Hoveyzeh, Bandar Mahshahr, and Dashte Azadeghan are in red zones.
