Iran Press/ Iran News: Responding to the Iran Press question on Khuzestan's infection rate, Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli stated that the entrance of 300-400 people to Iran had been the main reason for the surge in UK variant cases.
Rahmani Fazli highlighted that from the emergence of the COVID-19, Khuzestan citizens had implemented all the hygienic protocols and would follow them.
"By the upcoming new [Iranian] year, people are urged and asked not to leave home if not necessary, and also this year no exhibition will be held to cut down the virus surge," he noted.
He pointed out that the crowded places such as buses, metros, and taxi stations were fully controlled, adding that during the defined commute lockdown, these places were under strict monitoring by the law-enforcement forces and related organizations, especially during the new year holidays.
"In the upcoming 2-3 weeks, a drill to control and contain the coronavirus will be implemented across the country with red and orange zones in priority, especially in Khuzestan Province," Rahmani Fazli announced.
In today's meeting, the Health Ministry and Basij Organization discussed the Qasem Soleimani Health Project's pros and cons.
The National Taskforce for Fighting Coronavirus meeting was held on Feb 20 at the Interior Ministry chaired by Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli.
