Daily COVID-19 death toll in Iran reaches to 68 people

Tehran (IP) - Iranian Ministry of Health spokeswoman announced in her presser on Saturday that the death toll from COVID-19 in Iran had reached 59,409, noting that the disease has taken the lives of 68 patients over the past 24 hours.

Iran PressIran News: "According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to February 20, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 7,922 cases, out of whom 472 patients were hospitalized," Sima Sadat Lari stated.

"The total number of infected people in Iran has reached 1,566,081," she added.

3,677 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

"So far, 10,387,561 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed.

According to the latest reports, 11 cities are currently in red, 52 cities are in orange, 217 cities are in yellow, and 168 cities are in the blue zone.

The cities of Abadan, Ahvaz, Bandar Mahshahr, Khorramshahr, Dezful, Ramhormoz, Dasht-e Azadegan, Shadegan, Shushtar, Karun and Hoveyzeh are in the red zone.
