Health Ministry Spox:

Tehran (IP) - Iranian Ministry of Health spokeswoman announced in her presser on Wednesday that the death toll from COVID-19 in Iran had reached 59,184, noting that the disease has taken the lives of 67 patients over the past 24 hours.

Iran PressIran News: According to definitive laboratory findings from yesterday to February 17, 2021, newly diagnosed patients with COVID-19 were 8,042 cases, out of whom 744 patients were hospitalized," Sima Sadat Lari stated.

The total number of infected people in Iran has reached 1,542,076, she added.

3,684 COVID-19 patients are in critical condition, according to the spokeswoman.

So far, 10,218,318 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted across the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman pointed.

According to the latest reports, 9 cities are currently in red, 39 cities are in orange, 228 cities are in yellow, and 172 cities are in the blue zone.

The cities of Abadan, Ahvaz, Bandar Mahshahr, Dezful, Dasht-e Azadegan, Shadegan, Shushtar, Karun and Hoveyzeh are in the red zone.
