The Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Force said that for the first time a combined night operation was conducted.

Iran PressIran News: Brigadier General Mohammad Pakpour in an interview with IRIB News Agency said that one of the most complicated operations carried out since the 8-year-imposed war and the military drill so far is a combined night operation.

General Pakpour highlighted the participation of IRGC Ground Force in the night operation as one of the great features of the drill because such participation has never been feasible so far in night operations, going on to say that thanks to the endeavor of the local experts, the IRGC aviation units were equipped with night-vision and night-operation facilities.

In the military drill named 'Great Prophet 16' the night operation was conducted with the divisions combined, he said. 

The Commander of IRGC Ground Force pointed out that the coordination of the units in the absolute darkness requires special equipment with which all of the units present in the operation were equipped, expressing satisfaction over the assessments of the equipment. 219
