Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Minister said on Thursday that within the upcoming months Iran will be among the major regional hubs for manufacturing the COVID-19 vaccine.

Iran PressIran News: Saeed Namaki said: "We have the good news for the people of Iran that in the next two to three months, we will be one of the major hubs for the production of coronavirus vaccine in the region and one of the most important exporters of this vaccine to the world."

He added on Thursday, in the inauguration ceremony of 9 hospital projects all across Iran which was held with the presence of the president via video conferencing: "This year, for the first time before and after the revolution, about 11,000 beds will be added to hospital beddings and a large number of health centers and comprehensive health centers in the country by May."

Namaki stated:" A heavy year has passed for us and as well as for the honorable nation of Iran in managing coronavirus disease."

He went on to explain further that Judgment on these days must be left to the passage of time and history, Saying: "What the Iranian nation did with patience and all the people did in the difficult days of sanctions will surely be seen as a golden chapter in the history of Iran."
